What’s covered:

Amir will present a clear overview of Femoroacetabular Impingement Syndrome:

The common signs & symptoms, outline of radiology, soft tissue assessment, physical therapy treatment & the key indicators for further referral to a specialist will all be discussed.

FAIS presents with hip and/or groin pain, clicking, catching as well as with clear radiological findings.

Cam/Pincer & combined morphology will be discussed.

The idea of FAIS being a precursor to hip osteoarthritis is gaining further strength with an increasing body of research.

Research from around the world is focusing on early diagnosis, appropriate patient selection for conservative treatment vs. surgical treatment.

Your Presenter:

Associate Professor Amir Takla has been at the forefront of developing successful world leading rehabilitation programs for the assessment & treatment for Femoroacetabular Impingement Syndrome together with Orthopaedic Surgeon Professor John O’Donnell.
